Enjoy a day of adventure, filled with nature and history held within this “painted valley”! Your journey will reveal amazing sites, such as the entrance to Spruce Hill’s “Burning Furnaces”, the famous rock wall, the last fought Indian Battle and more! Be on the look out for fish, squirrel, deer, loon, an eagle and other species.

Float Trip 1 – “Jones Levee”
Miles: 6 Time: 2 Hours
This trip is great for the beginner, young families, and anyone short on time. Keep an eye out for the unique solution to “erosion control”, found along the banks of Paint Creek.

Float Trip 2 – “Copperas Mountain”
Miles: 12 Time: 4 Hours

A great chance to see the old railroad that Henry Ford owned and where travelers crossed Paint Creek without a bridge.

Float Trip 3 – “Seip Mound”
Miles: 16 Time: 7 Hours

This “Double Bridge” trip will take you past the site of the last fought Indian Battle and Little Copperas Mountain.

Camp Rules & Regulations:

CAMPFIRES:
If you have a campfire, please be sure the fire is completely extinguished before you leave. Campfires must be attended to at all times and be contained within existing fire rings provided. Do not cut, deface or destroy trees or foliage. Campfires must be out by 12:00am .
CHILDREN:
Children are the responsibility of the parents, and must be supervised at all times. You will be held accountable for your child’s safety and actions. Children under 18 must be at their campsite and under parental supervision from 11pm to 7am the next day.

DRUGS & ALCOHOL USE:

Alcohol use by guests of legal age must be confined to your tent site. The use, possession or distribution of illegal drugs in the campground will not be tolerated. Parties will not be tolerated, grounds for eviction without refund.

QUIET TIME:

11pm to 7am is quiet time. No Check-ins after 6pm. Sounds carry farther at night. Please be considerate of others. No loud radios, loud singing or hollering between these times will be permitted. Loud and/or abusive behavior or language will not be tolerated.
